Cryptanalysis: Algorithms and High Performance Computing Techniques.

We have completed the factorisation of numbers up to 536 bits including RSA512 bit number. Planning to port quadratic sieve on NVIDIA GPU. GPU is the graphical processor unit which is a multi core with individual cache attached to them.

Complete DES brute force (56 bit key search) on hardware has been completed on new DINI Virtex-5 based card. The worst case time for the complete key search is 13 days and the average time is 61/2 days for DES. We have ported DES brute force software implementation on NVIDIA GPU and the testing is under progress. We have optimized AES pipelined version and right now it is the fastest FPGA AES implementation when compared all published similar kind of results.

We have developed pipelined decryption engines for IDEA, 3-DES, Blowfish, CAST, GHOST, Rijndael, Serpent, Twofish, Mars, RC6, RC5, RC4 encryption schemes as part of the supplement phase of the project.
