C-DAC's RTSG has gained lot of experience in the area of retrofitting solutions. These solutions demand a lot of technical expertise, thus proving the RTSG's capability. COPS OVERVIEW

The Real Time Solution (COPS) is an indigenously developed solution and has been deployed successfully in Load Despatch Centres of the Power Sector & Energy Management Systems at major steel plants in India. COPS supports a true hierarchical distributed architecture, which provides the most cost-effective solution to the customer today. The COPS architecture includes RTU and the smallest version of COPS (mini COPS) at the bottom most layers. A distributed system with complete features for load despatch and management functions occupies the top level. The field data is gathered by RTUs via field sensors (transducer), and is sent upto the LDC through PLCC, microwave, fiber or telephone lines. The system is fully scalable and truly distributed and uses the industry standard tools and software for the development. This aides the system to configure right from substation level to national level grid operations.
