Quality Management System

C-DAC, Knowledge Park, Bangalore is certified for its compliance to ISO 9001 : 2008 standard for its Quality Management System (QMS) adoption and implementation.

STQC Certification Services, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is the certifying authority for award of ISO 9001 : 2008 Certificate. The certification process involves the implementation of Quality Management System across the organization.

QMS at C-DAC includes well structured Quality Manual with its Quality Policy and Processes for all its activities and Verification and Validation methodologies.

The technical groups of C-DAC Bangalore viz., Software Development (Software Engineering methods), Real Time Systems, Hardware Development, Advanced Computing Training Solutions (ACTS), High Performance Computing Solutions Group and Networking Group adhere to the QMS implementation. The Support Groups under QMS include System Administration, Administration (Facilitation) and Canteen, Human Resource Development (HRD), Materials Management Group (MMG), Library and Document Control. These groups are having their activity with the process evolved and are being monitored through internal audits as well as external audits.

With this, entire centre activities of all the groups are in place through their well-defined processes and monitoring system. The certification process helped in better project management, well-defined requirement process, strict verification and validation processes for better end results.
