Shri Gurudas Kamath, Honourable Minister of State for Communications & IT, visited C-DAC, Bangalore (Knowledge Park) on 17 March 2010.

A few dignitaries from BSNL and ITI also accompanied the Honorable Minister.

The Honorable Minister was taken around the CTSF facility and Executive Director, Dr. Sarat Chandra Babu, made a presentation on C-DAC's activities to the Minister.

Addressing the members, the Minister appreciated C-DAC's role in the National Skill Development Initiative of Govt. of India, empowering all individuals through improved skills, knowledge and internationally recognized qualifications to enable them access to decent employment and to promote inclusive national growth. He also stressed that C-DAC with its rich R&D base needs to be in the forefront to propel innovations and creativity in science and technology thereby making a visible change in our country.

The visit concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. P. Ramanujan, PC-IHG and distribution of mementos to the dignitaries.
