Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), the national initiative of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India, for research and development in electronics and Information Technology, traverses an array of multi technological domains to cater to the emerging needs of the nation. C-DAC has strived to be at the forefront of indigenous technology development and technical competence, honing its expertise in cutting edge technologies to meet the technological challenges of the future.

The Knowledge Park (KP) Centre of C-DAC, Bangalore is the 2nd of C-DAC centres to be established in 1989 and has witnessed the dawn of PARAM series of super computers. C-DAC, KP is working in cutting-edge computing technologies such as High Performance Computing, Grid and Cloud Computing, Ubiquitous Computing, Heritage Computing, Real Time Systems and Training.

Cryptography is a science of information security.

Cryptography has become all pervasive in this internet era. Cryptography is being used for secure communication, confidentiality, message integrity and authentication. This seminar provides an in-depth coverage on fundamentals of cryptography and network security. The seminar covers conceptual and application oriented aspects of these topics. This includes design, implementation of important cryptographic algorithms and their applications to mobile communication, wireless and information networks. The seminar is targeted at wide audience ranging from information security professionals, cryptographers and academicians, who wish to better understand, appreciate, design and use modern cryptographic security systems. Dr P.V. Ananda Mohan had obtained his Ph.D degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1975. Since 1973, he was with I.T.I. Limited in R&D till December 2003. Since January 2004 till Jan 2009, he was with Electronics Corporation of India Limited, Bangalore as Executive Director (Technical) and is currently with ECIL as a Senior Technical Expert. His research interests are in the areas of Cryptography, Network Security, Analog VLSI design, VLSI architectures. He is a Fellow of IEEE U.S.A , Fellow of National Academy of Engineering and Fellow of IETE.
